Fixer
Many foreign TV crews like to work with a ‘fixer.’ A good fixer is someone who can get things done, fix them. These can be practical things like hotel rooms and cars, press accreditations or interview-appointments. It can also involve getting a replacement quickly, in case a camera breaks down.
And most importantly, the fixer needs to know a lot about the country.
In recent years I did fixing for the American channel Current TV as well as for Dutch broadcaster BNN. Both teams left the country satisfied and relied on the many people who are in my network.
Please e-mail me on arne.doornebal@gmail.com in case you are in need of a fixer in Uganda or even the neighboring countries. Feel free to call: +256 773-446101 or +256 756-360009.
